I like them, I just hope you don't replace the Cerberus dreadnaught.

Why not just keep them both, use one as a default and have the other available for download.

Diverts resources, leaves open the possibility of bugs. Fat must be cut in the design process.

Making new models for Cerberus (in my opinion) only does two things. 1) it slows down production to fix what wasn't broken (make new models to replace good models). The games only feature 1 Cerberus ship. Why not use some imagination and creativity for the other ones. I.e the older Cerberus models.
2) It takes away variety from the factions. Making new models that are just variations of alliance ships with yellow on them and more wings or more guns just ends up being an Alliance faction at best and a boring faction at worst. The old models gave a lot of variation within the faction and also gave variation between the factions.
Of course I'm biased because I really loved the old models and would hate to see them go. I know some would rather see designs they perceive as fitting with the established canon better, but I just wanted to give my two cents.

I agree, but Lord_set IS the mod lead so he makes the descisions. He said that he was making the mod to be " a Mass Effect based mod that tries to remain as close to series canon as possible" so it kinda makes sense that they look so similar. I would've preferred a bit more variation.

I agree with both of you.

How are the Cerberus models coming along?

I love their designs. It makes me feel like Cerberus builds their ships without regulations or restrictions blocking what they can or can't put on a ship like the Alliance and Council. Keep them. They've been there since the beginning.
