I was wondering something, will you be able to build mass relays? If so, will they work like the Stargates in the SG mod?

No.I think there doing it so mass relays replace wormholes. You wont be able to build any plus i think there was a discussion on wever the reapers should have a mini version they could build like the vasari but I'm sure they passed the idea.

That works. But for travel for between stars, will there still be traveling for that or will it be cut out?

That works. But for travel for between stars, will there still be traveling for that or will it be cut out? Travel between the stars will still be available but compared to jumping through Mass Relays it will seem like it will take years. I don't know how zombie will program the AI to prefer using Relays to Star travel however.

Thank you for clearing that up. Well I've noticed while playing mods in Sins, some races will use wormholes on the multi-star maps. I'm guessing wormholes are mass relays now? Now that I think of it, it would be interesting if you spawned in a star system with no mass relays in it. That would make for a challenging fight. Also, what will we have for space stations? Haven't really seen anything about that.

Would it just be possible to switch stars with mass relays.

Would it just be possible to switch stars with mass relays. That's just a simple mesh change and is very easy. But it seems like they want to keep the travel between stars and have wormholes be the major way to travel -- which means, iirc, updating/changing most of the maps that have multiple stars to include at least one mass relay in each star system/galaxy-like-object (cause let's face it, some of those larger maps are really galaxies and not solar systems with the amount of planets in them)

If stars were replayed with mass relays, then the map would feel weird to be honest. In that case, what would the planets be orbiting then?

Would it just be possible to switch stars with mass relays. If what you mean is to replace travel from between stars to wormhole exclusive that is possible but for the maps already in their made by Ironclad, thats not the aim.

The largest SoaSE maps are more like clusters or sectors and probably not even that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that how the ME universe is? With a mass relay in a cluster of stars? Or a few if I remember correctly?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that how the ME universe is? With a mass relay in a cluster of stars? Or a few if I remember correctly? The Relay's aren't in a specific area of space. The Charcon Relay (The one that Humans found in a giant chunk of ice thought to be Pluto's moon) had drifted off by a couple light years from it's original spot. So to answer your question, they can technically be anywhere in a galaxy. Their purpose is to connect star systems with each other, big or small.
